How To Get a Certificate Of Conformity
Occasional Exporter
For Occasional Exporters shipments of regulated products are required to undergo the following evaluation process in order to obtain a CoC:
- Physical inspection of goods which includes verification of the product labelling, instruction manuals, packaging, and other necessary markings and physical requirements mandated by the UNBS standards and technical regulations
- Testing according to the applicable product safety standard or technical regulation by an accredited laboratory such as Intertek
Frequent or High Volume Exporter
For frequent or high volume Exporters/ Manufacturers with shipments of homogenous products for supply to Ugandan Product.
Registration and Licensing is highly recommended.

For Consolidators registered with UNBS
Intertek offers services in the evaluation of consolidated shipments according to the requirements mandated by UNBS. The evaluation process includes the following:
- Verification of the Consolidator’s registration with UNBS
- The shipment will be subject to mandatory physical inspection of goods which includes verification of the product labelling, instruction manuals, packaging, and other necessary markings and physical requirements mandated by the UNBS standards and technical regulations
- Issuance of CoC on successful physical inspection and evaluation of Test Reports.
