About The Programme

The Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) was implemented by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) to ensure the compliance of regulated imported products with the approved Ugandan technical regulations, (i.e. Ugandan or other approved international standards).

It is compulsory to obtain a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for shipments of regulated products exported to Uganda.

The Uganda PVoC programme provides assurance to Ugandan consumers of the quality and safety of imported goods. The programme focuses primarily on safety and quality standards.

Compliance with the relevant Ugandan or approved international/national standards results in the issuance of a CoC prior to shipment.
